Location:

River kilometre 583,3 LU
First port upstream after the lock of Geesthacht on the Lower Saxon side.

GPS: Port entrance 53°25,34’ N   10°22,37’ O 

 

Approach: 
Private concrete runnel (red/green) to the port.

Starting from the Elbe coming at a 90 ° angle.
Attention: The runnel tends to silt and should not be run by boats with a draught of more than 1.3 m.

Approach only during the day; stay close along the red tons.

On the port side, the stack runs and on the starboard, there are numerous shoals.

Boats up to 10 m long and 3.7 m wide
Draught up to 1.3 m

 

Facilities: 
Floating dock with rear posts.
Access via entrance gates (key at the harbour master against deposit).

Gas station about 1 km away.

Restaurant directly behind the dyke (about 700 m).

 

Port and surroundings:
Quiet natural harbour in the dykes foreland.
This is where beavers and geese say goodnight to each other.
